Job Responsibilities

As an SMS Traffic Manager, you will play a central role in overseeing and optimizing messaging flows across multiple international routes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing global A2P, P2P, and transactional SMS traffic across multiple operators and messaging partners

• Monitoring delivery ratios, latency, route quality, and technical performance in real time

• Identifying routing issues, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring optimal delivery rates

• Negotiating and maintaining partnerships with SMS aggregators, carriers, and suppliers

• Analyzing traffic trends, patterns, and risks to prevent spam, fraud, or unwanted behavior

• Coordinating with technical and business teams to improve system stability and routing efficiency

• Ensuring compliance with industry standards, operator policies, and country-specific regulations

• Preparing performance reports and recommending improvements for delivery quality

• Managing SMPP connections, routing tables, and vendor configurations

• Maintaining pricing strategies, cost optimization, and margin tracking for all SMS routes

Required Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strategic decision-making. Ideal candidates should have:

• Proven experience in SMS routing, telecom operations, or messaging platforms

• Strong understanding of SMPP protocol, A2P messaging flows, and SMS traffic behavior

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot routing or delivery issues quickly

• Familiarity with dashboards, monitoring tools, and traffic-management software

• Ability to negotiate with partners, suppliers, and international operators

• Strong communication and coordination abilities

• High attention to detail and accuracy in decision-making

• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple routes, and prioritize efficiently

• Knowledge of grey routes, fraud prevention, and filtering policies (preferred)

• Technical literacy in APIs, gateways, telecom networks, and SMS infrastructure
